Today's Event

Well, on the server front it looks like webigail is once more accepting of ssh packets. It seems that the msec (mandrake security demon) had his paranoia cranked just a little too high. Would appreciate a confirmation of this fact from _sps_, as he should once more be able to log in.

More importantly, today was taxlady's birthday. Since my Mom is a wonderful person, $50 arrived in the mail yesterday so that we could have a minor splurge today. Anyone who knows the love of my life can guess how the money got spent, but here's a breakdown:

1. Supper at a nice restaurant
2. A large bar of chocolate
3. A bottle of wine.

So, right now, she's a happy camper, and that makes me happy.

Indeed, I was able to use the graphical tool to apply the latest security updates. So, like, that finally works. (It did require some tweakage. Ask me if you care.)
