Apr. 6th, 2004 09:07 pmAs if the title wasn't enough of a clue, then I should point out that visiting the Icelandic Phallological Museum while at work, may not be terribly swift if you live in a puritanical country, like the USA.
I must admit the idea of a large collection of penii hung like hunting trophies on the wall, is something I find somewhat disturbing.
And, uh, yeah, this was all just part of the online research I was doing. Yeah, research, that's the ticket, research.

Date: 2004-04-06 07:13 pm (UTC)I think its because we don't have a 'bible-belt'. So, while there are most likely jobs in Canada where the accidental pulling up of a nude scene could get you into some sort of trouble, they are considered the exception, and not the rule.

Date: 2004-04-06 08:26 pm (UTC)I think the thing is, since Canada's population is often centered in cities, and cities are often liberal, it's easy to say Canada is quite liberal.
Don't get me wrong, I do believe that Canada is a lot more liberal than the US, but all I'm saying is that it's not so simple. I've lived in the Northeast all my life, and seeing a nude woman or man on a computer screen in an office would not make anyone blink. It's not the entire US...
