A Good Day.

_sps_ came over last night, and I cooked everyone a meal of pasta with meat sauce. It was good, though the sauce was too sweet (from the tomatos alone, no added sugar, and none in the tomato puree).
We chatted until late and then headed off to our respective beds. The next day we went for a long walk and photographed some ducks and some frozen leaves. We ended up in a Cafe playing Homeworlds (which we were doing when
nancyrihakova called to tell us that
denizsarikaya was lisping at her, maliciously...)
We then headed home where
taxlady and I collaborated on a shepherd's pie. The results were quite tasty but just a little too runny for us to be happy with it. Then we watched Trading Spaces, boggling at some of the design decisions, and now I'm heading off to bed.
It was a fun and relaxing day. Between us
_sps_ and I invented an inobtrusive version of hobo-signs for system administrators and tech support people, Stargate:CSI for a TV show with CSI-style scientific investigation in a rigorously consistent science fiction setting, and possible designs for bed headboards. There was also some discussion of a design for an object-oriented editor of arbitrary data to replace Emacs, word processors, binary patchers, and possibly even paint and CAD programs.
All in all, a fun day.
