I'm still awake and I think it a fair bet that I am not going to get a decent sleep before my alarm clock goes off in 15 minutes.

Now what am I supposed to do? If I go to sleep now, I won't be awake to do any of the things I had planned to do today. Then again, if I stay up, I won't be in any condition to do the things I had planned.

On top of it all, its the LJ meetup tomorrow night (although I don't know if we'll have a car, or if [livejournal.com profile] taxlady will be able to take the time to go). If I sleep NOW, I'll pass out around 6:00 pm tomorrow night for sure, and miss the meetup.

Even if I manage to stay up another 4 to 6 hours, that may be a likely outcome anyway.

Quit caffeine? I dunno...

By the way, where's the meetup going to be?

I believe it's at the same Second Cup as last time... Peel-ish, I believe.

I know. Tell me about it. I've had times when I've only been relaxed and able to sleep at 6:00AM, when it's time to get up and go to work. Another effect is that it is more difficult to sleep when you get older, and then you sleep more lightly. It can be good, because then you can get up early, when society expects you to, and society is geared for the older who have money. However, then you tend to fall asleep in the afternoon. However, old age still sucks. Work sucks. As the Loompanics (http://www.loompanics.com) catalog section on Work says: "Work hurts. Work marks. Work wounds and scars. Work, work, work. FUCK WORK!"

I'm reminded of this book I have, "How to Survive Without a Salary: Learning How to Live the Conserver Lifestyle", by Charles Long, an Ontarian. I just checked, and Amazon sells it, although Loompanics no longer does.
