Ah, memories of bygone ages. I once tried to explain to miseri that I tried to design a staircase that was both navigable and composed of two intersecting spiral staircases. The stair was to lead down to the courtyard of the Imperial Theatre, with its extravagantly bizarre courtyard tiling, inexplicable fractal lines, and theatre cheese.  Maybe the following extract will help. It would probably be easy to resurect the old web-pages where this once lived, so as to restore the hyperlinks (which are currently mere underlines. Sorry.)

Rexpolo

The City of Rexpolo rests upon, and has circling walls encompassing land on, all three of the Islands comprising the Physicality known as Murphax (and mistakenly believed by many foreign so-called Geographers to be an Island). Rexpolo, The Islands of Murphax, and The Barren Wastes are ruled by The State of Annelia by the King and his council of Ducs.

The Three Islands of Murphax

The Three Islands of Murphax form the heart of Annelia. Though physically touching, and sharing centuries of harmonious common history, the three Islands, Perenorm, Carellin and Snub, each have their own unique character.

Conveniently interconnected by an intricate system of land bridges, walls, hedges, boulevards deemed watercourses, and our city's unique horse-navigable canals, each is, quite literally, only a footstep away from the other. Try to spend time in all three during your visit.

One word of warning, however: at least on your first visit, it may be best to avoid Dunmartin Meadow. It lies entirely outside the boundaries of the Islands of Murphax, and is much less solid than it looks.

Some Laws and Definitions:

Position

A Position is any one of

• A Physical Location
• A State Function for which monies are paid.
• A Geometric Precondition to an Immoral Act.
  

Any situation that meets more that one of these conditions is not a position unless sufficiently many of the above conditions have been deemed impositions that there is only one remaining non-impositional conditional position.

Immorality

All actions of an Empty Colonel not on active duty shall be deemed immoral, except as they benefit the State.

State

In all formal documents all references to The State shall be assumed to be references to The State of Annelia, unless such assumption would be deemed unfortunate to the State, in which case the reference will be assumed to have been deemed void.

Imposed Assumption

Any citizen may assume or make assumption but this in no ways makes imposition upon any other citizen lest the assumer be an ArchMonk of the Holy Fellowship of the Assumption, in which case all within earshot of the ArchMonk are deemed to have made the same assumption, and may be said to House an Imposed Assumption or to be Royally Shafted.

Distribution of Theatre Cheese

The Distribution of Theatre Cheese, shall be solely carried out by such individuals as designated by the Office of Senzpertsy, Entitlement, Designations and Locations, or the Senzpertsy Cross-Maternal Descendants of same. Such individuals will at all times carry, while performing the distributing act, a lease-hold to the Sacred Key of the Cheese Vault.

Distribution of chese must be made while standing, with one foot in a bucket of oat bran, under an archway leading to or from a theatre. The chese may only be distributed during the two and three-quarter hours leading up to a showing of one of the earlier, funnier plays by, or featuring, Sir Richard Fairfax.
