swestrupA news item today states that the latest issue of American $20 bills contains RFID tags that can be used to track money. Read more here.
Later: my bad. I should have read the above while fully awake. Its fairly clear that the 'RFID' sensors at the store were just the standard RF sensors used by most stores today. They were detecting the metal threads in the bills. Putting all the bills in the stack and microwaving them set those same metalic threads on fire...
