Well, so far the light therapy hasn't worked very well. I'm not giving up on it though. I'm going to rotate my hours around the old-fashioned way by staying up as long as I can before going to bed, and then sleeping in as much as possible. Once I'm getting up in the morning again, I'll try to do the light therapy thing at exactly the same time every morning and see if I can manage to 'lock' my circadian rhythms. No idea if it will work, but its worth a try.

In other news, as often happens when I start messing with my sleep schedule, I've got another migraine today. Luckily I've taken my pills and had vast amounts of coffee, so I'm not actually hurting, but I am feeling awfully delicate.

Steve thinks you might have sleep apnea. I know that Sante-Quebec covers CPAP machines at least partially. Go to the doc and see if you can schedule a sleep study. Having a CPAP has changed Steve's life, even if it does mean we can't hug at night and he looks like the Snuffleupagus.

Have you ever tried melatonin? (I think it's prescription-only in Canada, though, so I guess the suggestion's not very helpful.)

It seems to me that someone with such sleeping difficulty really should avoid caffeine. I'm not sure that coffee will help you set a natural sleep schedule in the long run.
