Steampunk Dress-Up.

It seems that
taxlady and I have been invited to a steampunk event in mid-October at our favorite watering hole. The only problem is that we don't currently have any costume ideas. Does anyone have any ideas for things I could do that would be reasonably fast, reasonably cheap, and reasonably easy?

What you're aiming for is Victorian-style fashion. From there, you can start adding superfluous metal bits.
