Well, I've gone and voted, despite the fact that (in my riding at least) the outcome is a foregone conclusion, and the temperature outside is negative seventy billion and falling, and that's not counting the windchill.

It's when people believe the outcome is a foregone conclusion and consequently don't vote that the outcome stops being a foregone conclusion.

Hee - that's what it felt like in TO yesterday. We have synchronicity.

Mind you, as cold as it ever got in TO, I always felt that winter in Ottawa and Montreal was a trillion times worse (ha - and I was young then; I can't imagine how my poor joints would fare today). Especially when traipsing down to Ben's in the middle of the night (and I just learned on Wiki that Ben's is no more).
