Quietude

Falling and freshly fallen snow has a sound blanketing quality that needs to be experienced to be understood. It takes the hard edges off of sounds and brings a hush even to the noises of the city.  Looking outside right now at the falling snow, I can only see, not hear, the results, but somehow the mere sight of it is bringing a hush to quell the various inner turmoils of my mind.

I put the dog out this morning while it was snowing. I was twirling around in the snow, catching big snowflakes on my tongue. Stella Bella Blue thought that I was crazy.
