Sad News.

Emru Townsend passed away from leukemia shortly before 22:00 (his time) today. He was not a close friend, but he was a person that I had known for close to 20 years, one I liked, and respected, and wanted nothing but the best for.

Alas, fate had other plans. I wish I could eloquently state what a loss the world has suffered today, but I find myself numb and groping for words.

Goodbye Emru, you'll be missed.

I just traded e-mails with him for the first time a few months ago, despite seeing his name around my corners of the internet for years (this other guy was being a real blockhead in an argument, and I wanted Emru to know SOMEONE got what he was trying to say).

Sigh. It's a strange world.
