Yesterday was a Monday. As these things go, its wasn't so bad. I suspect I (inadvertently) scored a minor political coup, not that such things really matter any more.

On Friday none of my code was working, and it had been behaving in mysterious ways and crashing things inside libraries I couldn't trace through, so I wasn't looking forward to Yesterday. I shouldn't have worried. With having had two days to think on possible causes, I managed to find three or four interacting bugs in quick succession, and proved that one of the bugs was causing an unrelated crash in some 3rd party software. (I was sending in meaningless data, but that should NOT have caused a crash.) In any case, I had gotten things 98% fixed by yesterday evening, and I'll finish up this morning.

Then I just have to work out how I'm going to spend the rest of my week in a meaningfully productive fashion.

On another front, I am now behind on my NaNoWriMo. Well, I kinda figured that would happen when I learned I'd be relocating during this month. There are so many last-minute things now that take priority over writing that I'll probably have a bunch of catch-up to do when I get back to Montreal. The prospect doesn't really worry me though, as I know I'll write better on my own computer behind my own desk in my own comfy office chair.

... wait a sec ... didn't that chair break or something just before I headed out here? I don't remember ....

You don't remember? We bought it at Bureau en Gros a while before you left.
