swestrupIts been a long week for me, what with the total disruption of normal sleep cycles caused by the BIG EARLY EARLY MEETING on Wednesday. I'm told the demo part of things went quite well though, so hopefully the pleading-for-more-budget part will work out as well.
Not much other news. Got to see Stephen last night, and doing the 9-5 thing rather than 10-6 meant we had more time for supper and a stroll than usual. That's good. I also got the alarm to go off on time this morning so I am not as hurried as yesterday. Not yet convinced I'll be moving to 9-5 permanently, but its leaning that way.
Doing some social stuff this weekend. You know, I have almost no social life here so the irony of having only two social events this month, and finding out they're both scheduled for the same place and time was not appreciated. AT ALL. I met someone at NaNoWriMo who invited me to their Pumpkin Carving Party on Saturday, and that sounded like a lot of fun, but it turns out the After Singularity Summit Dinner Meetup (which I've been looking forward to for months) has been scheduled at the same time. If the dinner doesn't run late, I suppose I could head to the other party, but I suspect the dinner WILL run late...
Oh well.
