Rain?

I just leaned that the South Bay area is expecting its first rain in 202 days. Starting this afternoon we're supposed to get 1/2 inch of rain (~1 cm), so maybe its best that I didn't go to work. I may have an umbrella in my backpack, but that doesn't mean I feel up to walking in the rain.

Yep, the leading edge of the rainy season! I'm excited. (I wouldn't be if I were feeling unwell, though.)

Watch out for drivers during the first few rains--they seem to forget how to drive in it, and the roads are slick.

It still cracks me up that rain merits a Special Weather Alert in the Bay Area (well, only at the beginning of the rainy season or when it lasts longer than it should).
