Had to happen sometime.

swestrupI'm typing this as I hastily drink coffee while drying off from my morning shower. Today, I'm going to be late for work. In fact, I should be walking in the front door right now. But instead I managed to sleep in and woke up just 15 minutes ago.
This is not really a disaster, as most folks won't arrive at the office for another hour, and I should be able to arrive shortly thereafter, so all I've really lost is my morning quiet time when I can get some actual work done. Still, it does disrupt my plans for the day as there was stuff I wanted to do before the (catered) Monday lunch meeting, and now I won't get the chance.
There's also the little fact that, as a contractor, I only get paid for the actual hours I put in. So, I either make the time up later in the week, or its taken out of my pay. Oh well, that's something to work out later, once I'm more awake.
Now, to check out my morning comics while finishing this coffee...
