As most parents find out the hard way, children differ; what works with one is no guarantee it will work for another. Despite this, most books on child rearing have been ignoring this fact and simply stating the 'best' way of raising your kids. Now, new genetic findings are shedding some light on how a child's genes influence how they respond to different methods of child rearing.

That always bothered me about "expert" advice on child rearing. Not all kids are the same! I never paid attention to any of that stuff and just did what felt right to me. It seems to have worked out pretty well so far.
