Grumplets.
Jul. 27th, 2008 02:32 pmYesterday was
messiahdivine's housewarming party.
taxlady and I had been looking forward to it for weeks. Then when the time came she was feeling ill and didn't want to go, and I was in an uncharacteristically grumpy mood. In the end, after much back-and-forth-ing on the idea, I decided not to inflict my presence on anyone else last night, and stayed home too. I figured I'd make a chocolate cake, drink a couple glasses of wine, and watch one of the downloaded movies in my backlog to help cheer me up, and then call it an early night.
Well, I had the cake and wine but found I was in no mood to watch a movie. I should have known. When I'm unable to deal with people, I'm usually unable to deal with movies too... (ie. anything designed to evoke a human emotional response should be avoided when I'm like that.)
So instead I sat up way too late playing solitaire and ended up going to bed just as late as I would have if I had gone out -- maybe later.

Date: 2008-07-27 07:28 pm (UTC)The worst part is the staying up bit. You end up going to be way too late with nothing to show for it! :-(
I hope that both you and Taxlady are feeling better in each of your respective ways.
