There are a large number of three-strikes proposals being made around the world right now, where an ISP would be required to cut off Internet service to anyone merely being accused of copyright infringement on three separate occasions. Speaking of which, if the doctrine of self-help says that it is legitimate for vendors to use invasive techniques to remotely disable things that they argue that I have not properly licensed from them, does it not follow that I can use similarly invasive techniques when *they* violate their license--as, for example, by failing to provide me with the access I have bought? How not?
