I just realized that I failed to watch the landing of the Phoenix Mars Lander. At least its now safely down on one of the poles of Mars, ready to look for signs of ice.
Not much to see really. Just a control room full of jubilant JPL types. On the other hand, I was glad for my daughter who watched it with me. I tried to impress upon her the historic significance of the event if not its scientific value.
