So, I just came across an article that says that there is a growing (and grossly underreported) segment of the American public that specifically votes against the kind of Christian fundamentalism that Bush is showing. I wonder how accurate the article is though.

Take it with a grain of salt, like anything. Damn Americans. *grumbles*

To read the LJ community bush_sucks, of which I'm a proud member, YES there are lots of anti-fundamentalist Yanks. But are there enough?

The important meme to spread is that there's no war between muslims and christians. But there is a war between fundamentalists and fundamentalists. Because in a war, everyone gets to die and no *side* wins; but *they* think killing *us* is a good thing. And *they* think that's a good enough thing to die for.

So if we all worried about our *own* funamanetalists we could stop the killing much faster than by worrying about each others.

I think that was what I was saying. Fundamentalists Christians in the United States are far more a danger to human rights here than fundamentalist Muslims. For one thing, we don't have a member of the latter group in the White House....

Ja. But we need a good meme-carrier. "It's us against them - but *they* are all the world's militarist-fundamentalists." But it's not snappy enough, still.

We need a word for them. God's Demons...?
