So it seems that a sexual researcher and member of the Christian right thinks that homosexual intercourse is dangerous, because its more fun than the heterosexual kind. Basically, it seems that he's worried that heterosexuals won't be able to compete when it comes to getting partners, once their partners have experienced same-sex relationships...

Um, I don't think so. I *really* have no interest in homosexual intercourse - and not having that "religious right" fear of it, don't care what anyone else does in the privacy of their own home, but, please.

I'm British.

Wow, is he ever playing on the wrong team.

I'm very straight, but he makes me want to consider girls now.

Wow.

This fellow does sound like he's gone off the deep end. I agree that it sounds like he has issues but equally likely he has let a bit of idle thinking and a healthy dose of religion induced paranoia run away together into the land of the public press.

Strange indeed. The story of how his official credentials were revoked makes interesting reading as well.

This argument (I won't say reasoning because that would require logical thinking, lol) is actually decades old. The idea was that gay sex was SO enticing, you'd never want to go back to straight sex.

Mind you, what he reveals is far more telling: that he considers straight marital sex to be boring. Well, I guess it would be, if it were in the missionary position, with the lights off, both parties fully clothed with the exception of strategically placed trap doors, and with no expression of tenderness or love. Certainly no foreplay, because that's selfish. Yup ... booooooooring.

Makes you wonder about people who ignore not only the physiology but also psychology of sexual interactions. Oh, right ... they're called fundamentalists. /sarcasm

Big shrug,
H.

Makes me wonder whether he's homosexual, or his partner is. About the only way I could imagine finding homosexual intercourse more fun is if I were homosexual.

And as for intensity of orgasm, even if what he says is true, it's a non-issue. The only study I've heard on the subject (and it coincides with my own experience) is that masturbation produces more intense orgasms than heterosexual intercourse, but that men prefer doing it with women anyway.
