Not sure when this Disney look at the future was made, but I'd guess late fifties:

Until they suddenly pulled The Jetsons out on us with the pre-programmed car (did you notice there was no suggestion of that until that moment? Must have changed directors mid-stream) they were actually pretty accurate, especially the urban sprawl and the many miles of commute. Except Disney seemed to think that would be a GOOD thing.
