Okay, I've transfered all of the salvagable bits of hardware from the old system over to the new one and tested everything (except the com port, as I couldn't find anything to plug into it to test).

Tomorrow I'll start on the software end of things. Still, its already better to be able to read on a large screen rather than squinting at a tiny one.
