Fnarg Blag!
Dec. 28th, 2005 06:32 amI've spent the last 6 hours doing maintenance on Webigail. The idea was simple in essense: split one raided partition into two, without losing any data.
It's now all mirroring and resyncing and everything, and it looks like the operation was mostly a success. I say mostly because I can't log into an X session. The only error I get in .xsession-errors is the very helpful "Must be connected to a terminal." No idea WHAT must be connected to a terminal, or why it thinks it isn't, whatever it is.
Grumph.
Anyway, I don't have any idea if this is a major problem or not. It may be as simple as a stale lock file somewhere, or not. Anyway, everything else seems to work, and I can log in fine via SSH, so I'm not going to worry about it for now. I almost never log into an X session anyway.
I'll take a look at fixiing it later. If
_sps_ can't log in, then maybe a bit sooner. For now though, I'm going to head downtown. I had planned to be on the bus that just left, but it'll be at least another 30 minutes or so before I'm dressed and out the door.
