Morning Yawns.
Nov. 5th, 2007 12:47 pmThere is one thing I can say in favor of Monday's: they tend to be slow news days. Most days I wake up and it takes me 2 or 3 hours to read through all of my various newsgroups and mailing lists and news websites and whatnot. Mondays it often takes less than an hour.
So, here I am, I've had my coffee and I've read all of the news, and my comics, and I should be ready to start my day. Alas, the cobwebs are still thick in my head, so it may not be a good idea to start immediately.
Instead, I think I'll have a quick bowl of cereal for breakfast, and go out for a bit of a walk to soak up what little sunlight we get now. I'm not hugely affected by SAD, but I have discovered in the last few years that if I get depressed for other reasons, lack of sunlight seems to deepen and prolong it. So, the occasional walk in the sun should count as preventative medicine.
