While digging around in the kitchen last night, trying to find the last jar of Mom's home-made strawberry jam that she sent me, I found a jar of Pepper Jelly.

I vaguely recall my mom giving me a couple jars of this a few years ago, and they've sat unopened ever since. The reason is simple: I have no idea what this goes with, or what you would eat it with.

So, does anyone have any ideas on what one does with home made pepper jelly?

Get a block of room temperature cream cheese, place it on a plate. Heat up the jelly, pour it over the cream cheese. Spread on crackers, slices of baguette, or even slices of apple. Yum!

As mentioned, with cream cheese and crackers works well, as do other cheeses to taste. You don't even need to bother heating anything if you're lazy. It's also tasty enough on a cracker by itself.

As for low-carb options, none spring to mind, but hopefully you can take it from here.

Santropol has a great sandwich that involves cream cheese and pepper jelly!

You use it exactly like strawberry jam. On, for example, hamburgers.
