News of the Lame.

taxlady managed to badly sprain her ankle last night. This is a problem as she had several plans for going out today, to a client, to kyotto's potluck and housewarming, and to Tarasmas. All of these we're going to have to cancel, as she can't walk unaided, and is in no condition to drive. Instead, the two of us are going to stay home and watch some movies or something.

Tomorrow morning we're going to get her to the (relatively) nearby Brunswick medical center to have them look at the ankle and confirm that its just a sprain and she hasn't torn or broken anything. Meanwhile, I'm sure she'd appreciate any 'Get Well Soon' vibes that anyone wishes to send her.

Sympathetic hugs. 'Cuz I've had my share of sprains, etc. Has she tried soaking it in ice water (I know: hurts like bloody awful hell!) to keep the swelling down and (paradoxically) reduce the pain?
