That Job Meme.

Here's my results of that job meme that everyone has been doing. For those who haven't already seen it, do this:

1. Go to careercruising.com
2. Put in Username: nycareers - Password: landmark
3. Take the 'Career Matchmaker' questions at the upper left corner
4. Post the top ten results. (or however many you feel like)
   

I've gone and included all the results they gave, because they are so far off. Everyone else was saying how well the quiz did at placing them. For me they got it all wrong.

Lets see, the first thing one that even gets a blip on the interest-o-meter is #9 which is Aerospace Engineer, but is not a career I would ever seriously consider. The next is #14, which is Computer Programmer and is actually the career I took. After that, the only ones of any real interest are Architect (#17), Video Game Developer (#20 - which I've done), Astronomer (#22), and finally Physicist (#27) which was my initial career choice in high school.

Since the list was so bad, I took their supplemental 40 questions to try to get a better result. The results of that did make more sense, but its still sufficiently wrong that its not worth posting, as Computer Programmer was removed from the list, but Computer Support Person (my definition of job hell) is still on there.

Well, Computer Engineer and/or Electrical Engineer isn't *that* far off from Computer Programmer. Same family of skills I'd say.
