Dreams.

Last night I dreamed of a magical Cafe called something like "Cafe de Tout des Mondes" which was almost impossible to find, but where the food was magically good, and where people's fondest wishes came true, and of the heartache that can be caused by people having different fondest desires.

It was almost good enough to write up as a story, but there were elements of it that I don't feel comfortable dealing with right now.

Hm. Me, I dreamt of a sort of elven (as opposed, I guess, to elfin) jacket in silvery grey, angular yet organic, over a soft blue-purple shirt, worn with a silver necklace made with a pendant and then some kind of lacy fill back to the band. I think the young lady was cute, too, but it was altogether more of a design kind of dream.

there were elements of it that I don't feel comfortable dealing with right now.

And that's exactly why you need to write up as a story

Now.

When you get comfortable, the fire will have gone from the story and you won't be able to tell in convincingly. It'll have become dead ashes, and this happened and then this happened.

sounds like my new favourite cafe where I go every morning to read papers and have a spinach and cheese triangle and a coffee or three :)

I would so much love to read the story that you'd weave from the threads of that dream.

that's funny... when I was little, I used to think that rather than having supermarkets, we should just hyperlink all our fridges together, so that if we were missing an ingredient, we could just reach through and grab it from somebody else's fridge. Of course, this would also double as a form of transportation.

I suppose that's the truth behind the saying:

Writing is easy -- you just open a vein and bleed all over the page.

I'm not sure who said this first.

My vision involves shopping malls, not refrigerators. There is only one mall. It is divided up into sections that appear to be at different locations by those "no admission" doors.
