I've just got a friend request from a Siegfried in Germany. I have a very bad memory for names, but I don't think I've ever known a Siegfried. I may have met one in 1990 when I was in Germany for a few weeks, but I don't think so.

Does everyone else get this out-of-the-blue friends requests from total strangers?

I had an old co-worker friend me. but to make matters worse, she is referring to herself as "lisa" instead of Elizabeth, which is what everyone knew her as back then. So it kinda threw me off...

Yep, sometimes. I ignore them. I ignore facebook requests from people I know, too, because I barely have time in my life for LJ - so I'm *not* getting into another social networking site.

But, if you were one of my Facebook friends, then you would have gotten the invitation to our anniversary supper tomorrow night, instead of just a friends locked LJ post about it. The event RSVP function makes it easier to keep track of who is coming.

Well, for me, it's not the friending issue ('cuz it's usually a friend of a friend). But yesterday I received an anonymous comment which didn't make any sense relative to the original post - and they even put stuff in the subject line.

Huh? WTF???
