I finally had a good, solid nights sleep last night for the first time in three or four days. As I found last night that I was having trouble sleeping over anxiety about having trouble sleeping, I turned off my alarm and made my body a promise that it could sleep whenever it wanted, and wake up whenever it wanted, regardless of what it did to my planned schedule. That worked, and I fell asleep shortly thereafter.
The results were that I slept in until 2:00 pm, and awoke with the signs of an oncoming Migraine. I wasn't surprised. Lack of sleep for several days and then sleeping in is the major thing that triggers them in me. I quickly popped two AC&Cs and then drank some strong realcaf coffee. It seems I was fast enough as the pain has leveled out at a plateau well below that of a full-blown migraine. Now, hopefully some more coffee will be enough to kill it all together. Failing that, I'm pretty sure another AC&C will do it.
I'll end up feeling rather delicate all day, and will need to avoid loud noises and sudden movements, but otherwise I think I dodged the bullet.
