Feb. 20th, 2007 10:25 amThe packing folks are currently packing up the part of the basement which constitutes
taxlady's office. It appears that the insurance treats the two halves of the basement (office/storage) differently and so they need to be done and invoiced separately. This means that I actually get to take a bit of a breather while they work on
taxlady's stuff, before they get around to packing up my half of the basement. They also need to do far less packing on my side since they just need clear access to the concrete floor and about 2' worth of wall. Everything else can stay on shelves.
For
taxlady's side, they need to rip out the carpet, which means they need to remove everything from there. Meanwhile, I'm boxing up all of my old Byte magazines and Scientific Americans (going back to the 80's and 70's respectively), to haul out to recycling. We haven't found anyone who wants them, so they're getting the old heave-ho.
