Sleep Eludes Me.

Right now I wish I could sleep, but with both nostrils blocked up I can hardly breathe, never mind sleep. I've always found it hard to sleep when my sinuses are acting up, and this is the worst I can remember.

I've never had a sinus infection, but I'm wondering if the sudden onslaught of symptoms might be indicative of that. After all, I woke up two days ago feeling fine except that I couldn't breath out of one nostril, and the associated sinus was continually discharging. Its still doing that, but now the other nostril has packed it in as well.

Bleah.

I broke out some of those anti-snoring nose strips a couple weeks ago when all of us were sick, and they actually helped. Might be worth a try.

I normally have only one nostril open, sometimes (as now) none, and very occasionally both. I find the nostril that's open determines the side I have to sleep on.

I usually can breathe through both, but its common that one is congested. If I sleep with that side up, then it rapidly clears and the other becomes congested.
