So, once more I'm awake. Hmm. It seems I start lots of journal entries that way. Maybe I shouldn't make a 'good morning' post part of my routine? Anyway, I've been up for several hours now, and am happily working away at figuring out how to get propper DNS services up on my little network firewall, so that I don't have to rely on other people doing in-domain delegation for me. AND, I want to take a look at IPv6, since I hear they are still giving away IP addresses and/or domains for IPv6, any my firewall claims to be fully 6-compliant, as does XP and Apache...

Why is it that I only seem to do my best work when I wake up early, when I HATE waking up early?????

Awww, I rather like your updates on when you sleep and how you sleep and when you are awake and what you feel like....!!!!

As far as doing your best work when you've woke early, I am sometimes the same way and I do have a theory on this: It has to do with the ethereal - and our subconscious being an actual other place where we go not only to recharge but to solve problems that escape our consciousness sometimes, and to gather more information... There are so many facets to this theory, and I will spare you my craziness now, but I could believe that you operate, Possibly 'better', at least on some levels, in the "sleepeytown" than you do out here in the waking world (though I recognize your genius out here too, how do you do that??? :>D )

For me, some of my best ideas and spurts of creativity I figure MUST come during my 'sleep' because I will wake for no apparent reason and go write them down or begin working on them right then ... I'm definitely open to exploring this topic seriously and hearing others' opinions.

I hope you have a great day. I myself have felt very productive the last few days, after nearly two months of almost complete stagnation it seemed... (though I was sick but still)

Hmmm so your creativity?, "best work", FLOW is fueled by money? NO NO NO!

Well, then I guess I will have to find some damned money in order to get your "best"? NO NO NO!

I refuse to believe you are cold or soulless so there.
Scientific - fine. I guess I WILL just have to come up there and see for myself... argh!

;>)

OH well then I guess I simply need to apply that pressure... I am COUNTING ON YOU to make these posts and continue being productive and creative and tell us all about it. I'm NOT paying you
though... ;>)

I've actually had dreams where I've solved a particular coding problem that had been on my backburner for a few days. When I wake up and try it, it usually only needs minor tweaks to work.

YES YES YES! that's what I am talking about! Right on and thanks for the 'validation' (sort of!)
I often got to sleep thinking of things I need to do, complete, try ... only to wake up and realize that I'd been working on them in my sleep - only sometimes does it wake me - but the ideas usually, as you said, only need minor tweaking to work! That's fantastic and I'm not a freak! oh wait, yes I am but nevermind that... Thank you for your reply!!!!

Better to wait for the sun to get to the right half of the sky, I say.

Indeed. Unless there's a kitty kat demanding she be fed... why bother to rise?

Oh, and then there's the lego creatures to torture Deniz with...

This assumes that there are routine tasks (other, perhaps, than ones involving coffee).
