I've been making progress on NaNoWriMo, but the current scene has been like pulling teeth to write. I seem to have this problem whenever I introduce a new major character. I'm in the middle of bringing one in, and I fear I may eventually have to completely rewrite the scene, although not THIS month. I've got two more characters to introduce real soon, but I'm hoping that will go much easier. We shall see.

Meanwhile, my difficulties today have resulted in not nearly as much written as I had hoped. Totals so far today are:

45,378 / 60,000 (75.6%)

This isn't terrible, but as my goal for the month is 60,000 words, I was hoping to hit 50,000 tomorrow before I go out for the evening. Due to the difficulties I'm having, I'm not sure if I can manage that. I'm not ready to hit the sack quite yet though, so we'll see how it goes.

Don't know if it'll help you, but I've found that just writing short notes for the rest of a difficult scene makes me figure out what happens and then move on with whatever comes next. At a later point I can always go back and fill in the blanks since the notes are all there.
