Last year was my first NaNoWriMo and I started writing a piece of Science-Fiction Erotica that had been perculating through my mind for about 2 years previously.
SF is my default genre, and I decided to go with Erotica because its all about characters and relationships and that's something I'm really bad about writing about. I wanted to improve in those areas.
I got my 50,000 words written, but I think I'm only about 1/4 of the way through the novel. I'm going to continue it this year.
I don't know if I'll ever make it public. Right now its very uneven, has major plot holes and desperately needs editing. NaNoWriMo is all about just writing without editing, which I did, but I may not want to make it public (if then) until I've given it a good editing pass.
