Fever Dreams.

I just woke up, and yes, I am still Teh Sick. I don't know if the disease is to blame or not, but I just woke from a dream in which I was in a programming class being taught by Voyager's Janeway. She shared many characteristics with programming teachers I've had in the past in that she was brash, opinionated and very very wrong about what best practices are.

Tell me about it. There seems to be something about teaching programming, specifically, in an academic environment, that turns some people into pigheaded fascists who will never admit that they might be wrong about something. I haven't noticed that attitude from teachers from industry (of whom I've met three or more), only from academia, in my two different universities.
