Geek ROTFL
May. 8th, 2006 04:46 pmI just read this Geek Discussion that was pointed out by
rysmiel. It had me laughing out loud several times!
Okay, technically that means it was a LOL and not a ROTFL, but seeing as I have never, in actuallity, rolled on the floor laughing, I would never get to use that acronym if I was being strictly accurate. As well LOL can denote anything from the small chuckle that I usually use it for, to full blown belly laughs, which is what it would represent in this case. I decided to use ROTFL for the belly laughs, as it would otherwise go unused. I do guarantee though that anytime I use either of these two terms it is because I have, in fact, produced an audible indication of mirth. *sigh* Is it a sad state of affairs that I worry about things like this? A lot?
In any case, those who sit stoically at their terminals typing LOL in response to lame witticisms are TEH EVIL and need to be eliminated. Thank you.

I admit that the bus did take a corner at the preicse moment that I reached the punchline. But the rolling, the floor, and the laughing were all unfeigned.
The other passengers were ... bemused.
