I dunno what's up with the internet today. I've had all sorts of weird problems trying to get online. The service seems to come and go in fits and starts. Nothing seems wrong at my server end, and my ISP claims everything is working normally there. I haven't managed to reach slashdot today to see if theres any news of a more general problem.

90% of the regular websitesite I got to werent THERE today.

LJ hasn't been letting me post or comment. Not even sure this one will work.

and...i haven't had ONE e-mail the whole week-end. Usually I get 20-30 newsgroups and other mailing lists per day and 5 or 6 personal regular friendly emails.

NOTHING since last night.

Slashdot doesn't have anything on it yet. But there *are* new blaster-scale vulnerabilities in XP, so it is very possible there's a new worm.

*shrugs*.. sometimes there're just a lot more people online at once, downloading and checking email and IMing and voicechatting and doing whatever people do on the net.. and after all, it is the Sunday night after Thanksgiving, everyone's coming back from vacations and catching up on all the stuff they 'missed'.. (though, in truth, I would say the vacation is catching up on the things in life we're all missing, all the time..)
