NOT Drunk.

swestrupOkay, this time I'm not drunk, although I'll admit to 3 or 4 glasses of wine over the course of the day.

taxlady and I went to grimmwire's birthday party yesterday. I didn't really know who would be there since him and I have many friends in common, although I don't know him all too well. The first person I met was Emru, who I've known for many many years and haven't seen in quite a while. (He claims we met briefly 2 years ago at Con*cept, but I don't remember it.)
Anyway, he will be appalled to know that he seems more mature now than I remember him. I guess a house and a family and all can do that to a man. He's still intensely silly though, and a great guy to talk to. There are plans afoot to beat him until he gets an LJ account.
Not too long after that, other folks started showing up, includingryss_rhiannon, jul3z (who I have heard much about, but never before met), and rezendi.
Not long after them I seem to recallpapersky and zorinth arriving, as well as ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-syndicated.gif)
kinokid (who I've known for some time, but didn't know they were on LJ).
People kept showing up and just beforetaxlady and I had to head home, sfllaw appeared.
All in all, a pretty good party, and one I'm glad I went to.
Then, today, we had a mini-party of our own whenazrhey and pphaneuf dropped by to spend the afternoon playing XXXenophile and drinking wine. Not much to report about the game, other than the discovery that azrhey talks to her nipples. Oh, and I won by some ridiculous amount. I had lost count and had something like 110 points when we finally added it all up.
Now, I'm catching up on my email and seriously thinking about bed.
