Well, I've put it off as long as I can, but at some point it had to happen: starting today I'm back on a 20-carb per day diet until I can drop below 250 lbs. I've been stuck at around 260 for over a year now, and I figure once I'm below 250 I should be off this plateau and able to increase my carb intake again. Right now, of course, I'm around 265 due to the indulgences of the holiday season, so it can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to lose that much.

So, for the next, month, lets say, can folks avoid inviting me to major dinner parties laden with Italian pasta, etc? Thanks!

I know all about that... I don't however want to go back on Atkins, but am very concious about carbs. I did my crazy 3 months of working out and only lost 12 pounds... lots of inches, but only 12 pounds... Atleast you're not affraid of the scale... cause I don't dare weigh myself until next week, after 5 days of working out lol.

But that's normal (and good) when you work out. You are losing fat and gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. Adding muscle also means that you are burning more calories all the time.
