swestrupYesterday was not the most productive day I've ever had. To start with, I woke up. That was a traumatic event. The fact that every human on the planet starts every day with an equally traumatic event goes far to explain why the planet is so messed up.
Anyway, it took me a couple hours before I was managing to blink in unison, and which point![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
taxdragon and I went grocery shopping, because food is good.
We brought home an already-cooked chicken (which made our female cat, Susha, do a little dance of joy). So we all had roast bird (except for Shrederick, the other cat, who isn't that fond of it.)
Afterwards, I stated I would start a batch of dishes as soon as I had finished digesting supper. Well, it turns out that half an hour later, still with a full tummy I started nodding off in front of the computer. So, I crawled into bed and fell asleep.
When I woke this morning I discovered that my SO had already processed the dishes through the wash-em-up-atron so it seems she wasn't too upset at me falling asleep before doing my chores.
So far today has been a better day. I'm somewhat more alert, having gotten a solid 11 hours sleep last night. I've also gotten my character to new heights of dangerousness in nethack. He's carrying the +6 Bat From Hell in one hand (the most powerful artifact weapon), and a +7 Stormbringer in the other, and is now an expert in 2-sword fighting. What's more, for the TOUGH monsters, he has a pair of +7 submachine guns named Bonny and Clyde and a large supply of +7 poisoned ammo. He's also gotten quite good at fighting with a machine-gun in each hand. Finally, he's now riding on a Tamed Vorpal Jabberwock. The only fly in the ointment is that a gypsy stole his inherent armor class, and I haven't figured out a way to get it back. This means I'm only at -39 AC, when I used to be at -49.
Heh, maybe I'll even get some work done today. I have less than 2 months backlog in my queue now. It sure would be nice to get it finished.
