NaNo Update.

swestrupCouldn't find anyone who wanted to do stuff downtown today, and ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
taxlady was having trouble getting her stuff together, so we postponed it for another day. Instead I sat down and wrote 4381 words today. I've finally managed to get to the end of the second chapter and have killed off the main hero, his new girlfriend, and all of the aliens. From here on it should be a lot more fun, and far less filling-in of the background. I'm beginning to fear that this writing thing may be addictive though. Every time I take a break I find myself obsessing about getting back to the keyboard and writing some more.
And now, the progress meter:
Those who are good with the math will note that I'm still a bit behind the 18333 words that I should have written by today, but I'm pretty confident I'll make up those missing 3000 words sometime this weekend. Maybe then I'll actually be able to pull a bit ahead.
