You could have signed up for the slightly more modern AIM, which lets you (gasp!) use something else than a huge-arse number as your identity (I am not a number!)... They are on the same network and can message each other.
Yeah, I agree. My point was that if you're going to go with some evil IM thingy, you might as well pick the humane one rather than the one that insist on calling you a number! Silly ICQ.
