Lately, it seems that this is my dominant feeling: everything I do, or try comes out awkward, stilted, subtly -- or not so subtly -- wrong. Don't know what it is. Don't even know if its just my perception of things, or if everything I've done lately has come off half-cocked. I just dunno.

Sometimes I feel less smooth and controlled for a while, like my mind is somehow unconsciously distracted... usually when I have something really new that I've just learned recently mulling around in my head. It goes away after the memory gets moved around to the optimal location, I think. Maybe it's defragmentation slowdown.

I have done some amazingly graceless things recently, and it seems to be working out in the end. Carrying on with confidence after doing something clumsy is a good way to make people forget about it or at least excuse it. (Maybe I should wait until tomorrow before I say that, come to think of it.)
