Since the issue of the Darwin Awards came up recently in my Blog, I thought I would post a link to a wonderful story that purports to be the true story behind the darwin award about the rocket car that flew into a cliff. I don't know if it is true or not, but I found it to be a delightful read. See if you don't agree.

While I know the Myth Busters show on Discovery may not be the most scientifically correct show they do have some interesting points. If you look here at the Pilot 1 episode you'll see them mentioning this myth. During the show they interviewed a police officer who said (as far as I recall) that they'd never found the wrecked car mentioned and would people please stop calling to ask about it ;-)

I think I saw something about that on TV. In any case, I already knew that it was something about a "rocket sled" and railroad tracks, as well as it had been an unmanned test.
