I'm back from the Museum. Had fun, but my brain has been a slurpee for the last 8 hours or so, so I'm not about to post about it now. You'll have to wait until I've slept enough to recapitulate some phylogeny.

You mean that even when you're tired...you manage to come up with words like phylogeny which I have never heard in my entire life?? I am impressed...much more so than I am impressed with the fact that I am working today... *hugs*

Heh. When tired I can still remember lame science jokes. There is an old (long disproved) saying in evolution that "Ontogeny recapitulates Phylogeny" which means that a fetus 'evolves' from a single-cell to a fish to a mammal to a human in the womb.

Science geeks have long loved the phrase for its big words and so you can get stickers and mugs these days that say things like "My second cup of coffee recapitulates phylogeny", or in other words, I'm not really human until my second cup.

I just stole the idea.
