I'm awake again, and wanting to strangle the person who invented Mondays.

I had a good weekend tho, spent the Saturday bumming around with [livejournal.com profile] _sps_ and company and playing card games that involved time travel and paradox fixing.

Sunday I got to see my good friend Liz for the first time in Donkeys. Eight of us went out to supper at Shahi Palace, to celebrate seeing her again. Folks all agreed that the place has wonderful food. My only complaint was that when there are a whole gang of you, you don't really get much chance to chat with the person its in honor of. That reminds me: I must remember to schedule some one-on-one time with my friends. Groups are all well and good, but sometimes its nice to be able to concentrate on just one person.

I am there with you, standing in line to strangle the person who invented Mondays.

Mondays should be banned, or at least turned into mandatory holidays.

Mondays and get-togethers

If not for Mondays, you would be hating Tuesdays, and that would not be fair to Tuesdays, now would it? I mean, at least Mondays have developed thick skin through the ages of people hating them, so they don't take it personal like. (It's not the day you hate - it's what it represents is my point.:^)

When I drop in on Montreal, I generally arrange a fairly large dinner party, 8-12+ people. It is good to see the 'old gang', and lets the neutral large party setting ease people back together. Then we do as you have suggested - break it down into smaller one-on-ones. There is usually alot happening that would not be shared in the larger setting.

All this to say - I think you have the right approach.
