taxlady is ill and cannot give me a lift to the train station. So, I have to do the public transport thing, I wouldn't mind if the damn bus didn't get me to the station 20 minutes early (and the next bus gets me there 10 minutes too late). At least its not as cold today as on previous occasions when I've done this.
I had been planning some experiments with alternate routes and/or busses for the next time this happened, but today is a big day at work, and I daren't be late. We're doing a major install of our product for some folks in the UK, and with luck they will bury us in money in response. Everyone needs to be available though, in case something goes wrong and needs fixing fast. So, this morning I'll use the tried and true method, but which leaves me standing on a empty train platform for 20 minutes.
