Markov Smarkov!

For years I've been hearing about Markov processes and Markov chains in computer science and not really knowing what they were. Today, thanks to skjalm I went and looked it all up and discovered that its stuff I did in high school, but with a different name. So, I am probably not completely up on the theory (high school math tending to leave out lots of stuff), but at least its all familiar territory...

As far as I recall from the course(s) in Uni where we used them there isn't all that much to it. Unless you look at the proofs, but that's how it is with most things mathematical ;-)

One of the things we used it for was some kind of logistics calculations. The details are lost to me somewhere in the course notes...
